Friends from the Land of Oz

They live in the Land Down Under. When it's sizzling here, they're freezing over there. This absolute contrast works just fine for me, since when the winter blahs get me down, there are always my Filo-Aussie (or is it the other way around?) mates out there to give me a different perspective.

One of them has written me regularly for a while now. "JF", he signs his pleasantly rambling emails. His missives have this uncanny ability of arriving when they're needed most. It's like getting a whack in the brain and a slap on the face at the same time. It wakes me up and gets me going.

My Molly has been lying around for some time now. I think I will inscribe the names of friends on it. JF's included.
