hi! i like your site very much. since i have been a moleskine-fan too, i am looking at this page every day! thanks

  3. Elb says:

I’m from Somerset in the UK – I was introduced to Moleskine by a fellow forum member on a fan site, and was so intrigued by her passion for these notebooks that I just had to have a look-see….. BIG mistake……

I am now a fully paid-up member of MoleAnon, and use mine as an escape from a tedious day job….. My pocket Moley sits beside me at work, enticing me in to scribble ideas for my blog whenever the moment strikes…. The only trouble is, Moleskine is taking over, and work is suffering…

  4. Randall Drum says:

I stumbled across a Moleskine a couple of years ago and have been addicted to them since. I use the large lined notebook as well as the small lined notebook. I journal with the small and have been using the large to fill with the draft of a novel that I am currently writing.

Love Moleskine, love this web site!

    (I’m from Central Ohio)

  5. Frank says:

I am a bit of a MontBlanc fanatic and kept seeing the name Moleskine crop up on various forums so eventually checked it out….this was about 2 weeks ago, now I am addicted, they have a whole world of fans. It seems now I see and hear about them everywhere and I find myself “Moleskine Spotting”. Here in the UK Virgin Rail have just started running a new TV ad, low and behold it features guess what?

  6. John R. Stubley says:

I’m from the Buffalo,NY area and have been visiting this site for the last month or so. I am surprised at all the hype centered around this little black notebook. I have only owned one for two months and each day I write in my Moleskine I become more attached to it. Never have I been drawn to write every single day. I have named my new friend “Mind Deposit”. While not original it is fitting.

This website is a testimonial to Moleskine and Moleskine owners alike. Take a look and take “note” of the creativity within.

    Sincerely,
    John R. Stubley

My aunt sent me a link to your site. I am of Korean and Persian descent and have just turned 11 and also enjoy journalling very much. After browsing through your blog, I now hope to receive a Moleskine for Christmas.

I signed up for the giveaway and realized that I should read directions twice before signing anything. (1) I used a “lucky” number (7777) without regard for the range you selected: 0-5000. Funny thing: someone else picked that # as well. LOL
    (2) I am not 18 or older.
So sorry for entering your contest.

    Keep up the great blogging.

This was an interesting blog and I was happy to visit.

  9. Thor says:

Hello from a small town, a suburb of a big city, Chicago. I’m currently using my third large Moleskine, the first was a blank one, the next two lined. After using these, I hope to never have to go back to the cheap notebooks.

  10. Linda Kay says:

I was recently introduced to the Moleskine notebooks / sketch books and quickly fell in love. My hubby and co-workers can not understand my fascination with notebooks and pens (yes, I have to have a Pilot G2 pen or I can’t write!-big grin!). I have finally found people who are as particular as I. I must be HOME!!! I am from a small town in south central Pennsylvania. I am sure to be visiting often!

  11. Jaron Shaddix says:

i have had one of these for about a year and i didnt use it much at first but one day i picked it up and i have taken it with me everywhere ever since.
its my birthday today and i am looking for a good pen. Please leave some feedback so i can find a good pen.

Hello from Stockholm, Sweden! I’m quite new to Moleskines, and notebooks in general, but I certainly like what I’ve seen so far. Love the site, and I hope you continue with it. Good luck (lycka till! as we say in Sweden).

  14. Ben Kittrell says:

Regards from Kansas City Missouri, USA.

I’ve only been using my Squared Pocket Moleskine for about three weeks and I’m in love. It allows me to organize my thoughts on paper so that my head is not so cluttered.

So far I use mine for todo lists, blog ideas and outlines, keeping track of dates, and even software design. I’ve come up with a system to keep track of my notes using different shapes to group similar things.

  15. More power to Moleskinerie (Go Armand!)..

The Moleskine thing started as request (to be frank I didn’t know what it was until I got the request).. time flies soo fast and Moleskine Philippines was born..

  16. Varenikje says:

I am a bit of a technophobe so posting like this takes a touch of courage even. I used to say that “my favorite word processing unit is a pencil.” Anyway, I have found the information and comments about journaling in general on this site to be helpful and edifying. By way of introduction, I am a restaurant owner in Nebraska. I do a lot of menu design, food costing, shopping lists, and to do lists in my “work moleskine” and then drawing, personal journal, etc. in my “personal moleskine.”

  17. Annie says:

Hello! A fellow moleskine afficionado here. I use moleskines for my photo journal, and for my personal journal.

It really is great to have found this site and see what other moleskine afficionados use their moleskines for. :D

Happy New Year and more power to Moleskinerie!

I bought a waterman phileas and i love it. it is my second fountain pen. It doesnt bleed through the plain pages and the other one i have does. i also just bought a moleskine plain reporter pocket. i use a parker jotter in that and a micron or a jotter or a phileas in my plain journal. i also got my brother, who loves to draw a plain for Christmas and he loves it.Happy new year to all of you and all at moleskinerie too!

  20. David Jewell says:

Hello to fellow users of the Moleskine. I have five or six in use at any given point in time. One for each line of equipment(CT, MRI, PACS, etc)(I’m a service engineer for a major medical equipment manufacturer). I have one that I have created my own daily planner out of. I like the Micron Pigma markers. Nice fine line, acid free and colors. I also like my Waterman fountain pen.

I love this site…I read a little of “How to start a Journal”…and I felt this inspriration come over me. I haven’t been inspired in quite a long time. Thank you so much for helping my soul and spirit sing again.. and for helping me rediscover what I love to do , and what I am good at… writing.

  22. TeleC@ster says:

Hi Y’all, I love Moleskine too. I write my notes and thoughts in notebooks for fifteen years now but only since 2006 in Moleskine. I’m not expecting to top that anymore ;-)
I also started blogging in 2006 but most of the blogthoughts start in real writing in my Moleskine.
    Sorry my blog’s is Dutch

  23. margaret says:

Hello from a Moleskine fanatic living in Oregon.

I always have with me my large softcover weekly notebook, and my other must-haves in constant use are the storyboard notebook, the memo pockets, the reporter’s notebook, and the small softcover tan cahiers. I feel these notebooks make me a better writer.

I’m off to France in the summer and eagerly anticipate using the Paris City Notebook.

  24. Nelson says:

    Hello from Brooklyn, NY.

I picked up my first Moleskine about four years ago and have not stopped. I’m currently working on my 6th pocket notebook for journal entries (to be transferred to my journal which I can not always carry with me), drawing sketches when the mood strikes, short stories, phone numbers, directions, to do lists, notes on restaurants, wines and job interviews to a million other things.

I am obsessed and I am glad I’m not alone. It’s great to have such a large family of writers present on this blog.

I use both the small and large plain Moleskines. I carry the small one in my jacket or jeans pocket every day and I have the larger one for my short story inspirations that came in the evening hours. I also keep a small one on my night table to right down dreams as well as jotting down phone messages. They have traveled with me to the Andes, Vegas, the Grand Canyon, South Beach and a host of other places. They will accompany me to Spain this year. They truly are a trusted friend who comes along for life’s adventures. Even daily adventures.

I even give them as gifts to people even if there is no birthday or other occassion. I’m creating more Moleskine addicts. One day literature will rule the world again!!!

Happy writing to all of you.

    Sincerely,

    Nelson

I have several Moleskine books going at one time; a small pocket journal which is only used for art ideas and art inventory; one small and one large sketch book, one watercolor book and one large lined journal. Favorite pen: Mont Blanc Broad Tip ball point in blue or black–writes smooth as silk; and a Mont Blanc fountain pen. Best journals I have ever used among a dozen varieties.

  26. micki says:

Great site! I too am an adoring fan of the “little black book”. I never leave home without it, and have a middling to large supply in reserve just in case they go out of business again; which I think is highly unlikely due to it’s cult fandom. It has revived my flagging motivation to practice the art of daily journaling, thereby making a difference in my sanity quotient.

  27. E. Lee Jones says:

I’m delighted to find myself amongst like-minded persons! Not only am I addicted to orgainizing my artistic and personal pursuits using Moleskines, but I’m also addicted to embossing them. Yup, my address book has my initials on it, my yearly calender has the year, obviously, my own citybooks have the city’s name, and to keep track of health, home, what I gave my nieces for XMas, I have a 411 notebook. It’s a great way to help me quickly find the one little black book that I need. A local bookshop does the honors for a nominal fee. Check it out in your area!

G’day from Melbourne. I am a newbie to Moleskine.

I recently bought a few sets of limited edition Moleskine ZOOM series – scenic photography of different environments on Earth. This is very different from the traditional style of the black Moleskine.

6 colorful covers, each representing the harsh and tranquil condition of our beautiful Earth, which maybe one day slowly fading away.

Hello from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia!

I just recently purchased a large ruled Moleskine to replace my overflowing old journal. And what a difference a Moleskine makes! It just feels better writing in it. I took it as a companion for me on a trip to Atlanta, and hopefully it’ll come with me to Europe. I don’t know how I ever got on without Moleskine. It feels so nice to run through filled pages and hear them rustle.

Hey all. I fell in love with Moleskines a while back, but being a student it took me a while to actually spend the money for it. I am waiting to receive my very first Moleskines (yes, I bought 3), and I am very cery excited. I am very excited to put them to use.

I agree, not all notebooks are created equal. I believe this. I believe it will be proven all the more when I get my moleskines.

  32. Joanna says:

As long as I can remember, I’ve been a paper products and writing implements obsessor, and for a few years now (read MANY years, it seems), I’ve been thinking about buying a Moleskine, either for myself or as a present, but they’re always too expensive to justify.

I had a bit of spare cash lying around at the beginning of the year and I bought myself a pocket-size weekly planner after seeing someone else’s, and I’m more than completely in love with it. In fact, after it and my (non-Moleskine) address book were stolen, I not only replaced the planner, but bought a Moleskine address book (so it wouldn’t be lonely).

I was also given one of the larger, thinner, paper-cover lined Moleskine notebooks from a friend and I love it! I’ve been planning for a while now to get one of the City Books as a gift for a friend, and now that the US cities are out, I’m jumping on top of it!

I really don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back to the cheap stationery and notebooks I used to use.

    Hi from Malaysia!
I’ve just joined the Moleskine family. Bought enough to last a lifetime? LOL.. what to do? I just fell in love with them.

Got myself a 18 month weekly planner too. Love it! Absolutely love it!

Greetings from San Antonio, Texas! I am writing from my cubicle (yikes) while waiting for calls to come in, and just happend upon your site. Love it! I write in a journal every day (to save my sanity) and reading about peoples experiences with Moleskins has inspired me to dig mine out of the bottom of my desk where it has lived for too long and drag it back into the light of day! I used to carry a small lined one with me everywhere I went just to write down random notes and inspirations as they went by (I wonder where it’s wandered to?)but the pressures of daily life at the time rushed me so that eventually I quit carrying it. It shall return! And my 17 year old daughter and my college freshman neice will soon find themselves in posession of their own Moleskins and a PROPER writing instrument. Email, text messaging, and Blogs on MySpace (at least they are being somewhat introspective…) are nice, but they can never take the place of private thoughts written in a Moleskin.

  39. Jill says:

Hi all, I have just come across this site. I am very tempted to get a small moleskin notebook but can I really justify £10.00 for a small notebook I ask myself? I do love journalling and I do use hard backed medium sized diaries but write randomly and not a page per day. They are quite heavy to carry around so I only carry my journal when I feel I need to write. However, I do like to have something to write in at all times so sometimes carry a shorthand notepad in my handbag.

The moleskins look as if they won’t last me long when I am on a roll and write a lot. How long do you find one small notebook lasts when you are using it as a regular journal and not just for jottings and notes? I am worried about spending all that money on a book that might only last me a month,

Hi everybody, I’m an industrial design student from Cincinnati,OH in the States. I’ve been looking for a good quality sketchbook to put sketches, designs, and inspiration in and I think I’ve found what I’m looking for here! Moleskines definitely seem durable and of high quality to put my work in. Now its just a matter of getting one while my local Borders is running a good coupon (hehe, I’m still a frugal college student after all) but I can’t wait until then! It’s cool to find a community about these sweet little books.

  41. sally says:

Wednesday greetings from the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I’m a poet and a moleskine addict. My best friend gave me three of the tiny craft books a few years ago. From there I discovered the larger books. I use the sketch book for writing because I love the blank pages. Anyone else do this?

I also tend to turn the book sideways and write across the pages lengthwise. I started this when taking sermon notes at church because I discovered it was easier to hold the book this way in my lap. Or perhaps it is because of chubby poet syndrome, with which I’m happily afflicted.

It is soooo comforting to know that I am not alone in my Mole-diction ;-) Thank you all for sharing your creativity!

  43. Gale says:

I’m here in Northeast Ohio. I use two pocket Moleskine, one for sketching, and one for Bible journaling.

The quality of these makes it enjoyable to always have on hand and use.

  44. Andrew says:

Cape Cod, MA. I hold my stationary in great esteem. I have been using the same brand of notebook for 5 years. A switch would be a big deal for me. I think i’m almost convinced though. I would feel guilty swithing from recycled– but these do look tempting…

  45. Brian Phipps says:

I live a life of autodidactic eccentricity. I have more than just a strong passion for fine journals and writting instuments. I write frequently in my Moleskines with a Parker Jotter pen. I don’t know why it feels so good to write. I drive a taxi. I am a schizotype. I am simultaniously a genius and a madman. FTW, it’s to hard to figure it all out.

  46. LaTia says:

West Suburbs of Illinois here. Long time lurker of the Moleskinerie, semi-long time user of the Moleskines.

I suppose it doesn’t help that I work at a Barnes and Noble that helps feed my Moleskine addiction. :)

  47. Jenny says:

    Mabuhay from Makati City, Philippines.

I came across Moleskines early this year at an upscale bookstore in one of the malls in this city. They were beautiful, and I was smitten at first sight; but they were too expensive for me, so I had to (sob) walk away.

Over the months I saw the stock of Moleskines diminishing…

Last week I received my Christmas bonus from work. Now I could afford a Moleskine! (even two!)

Imagine my dismay when all I saw at the bookstore were City notebooks and the planners, when what I really want are the pocket ruled and plain. :(

The storekeepers say that the stock will be replenished…soon…but I and other Moleskine lovers are still waiting… and waiting…

    Mabuhay (long live) Moleskine!
