"A friend passed along the link to your site, and I have to say it was
a welcome addition. I’ve kept a journal for years, continue to do so
today, under the Moleskine label, and can see why they have developed such a
reputation. I’ve used just about everything over the years, from the
standard composition books to the monstrous, one-year books that quickly
become to large to travel with. The Moleskin, soft-cover version with tear
out pages, is perfect.
I’ve included, just for kicks, a photo taken at
the end of my last shoot. If you look carefully, tucked under the Taliban
book, you will see the edge of my
journal….
…A few years ago I began a correspondence with my wife’s uncle, someone who
lives 3000 miles away. I did the first page, sent the journal to him, he did
a page, etc, etc. We have been sending this book now for over a year, some
fun stuff and a great way to communicate.
As a legendary photographer
once told me, "photography is great, but for Christ’s sake write things
down.
