ideas whenever they struck. Now I use my Blackberry memo feature. I have several
memos marked "Ideas" that each contain many of my best ideas. I always write
down the date and the idea.
The amazing thing to me is how short my memory is. When I occasionally
review my idea memos, I often come across great ideas that I have already
forgotten about. I think, "Wow, that is a great idea!", as if it were a
completely new thought!

keener than the sharpest mind") and if you think good ideas come from a
Higher Intelligence than your own and you value them enough to write

Great advice.
Very good advice. I write down everything in my journal, and it’s fun to read back through it. Sometimes I don’t even remember writing things (like a story idea) and then it catches you by surprise.
I do write things down all day at work. All those notes are my gift to a future me– going back over the things I found fascinating in a distant life.
I have a thing like your photo here – my Diary/Journal, with a Volante under the strap for notes and ideas, and which fits on my pocket easier when I don’t need the journal. And I thought it was my idea… Does anyone else do this?
