Jerry Everard mods a book a' la Moleskine:
"...key thing that set these bookmarks apart from any other - yes, an
elastic strap which would hold the book closed (and the bookmark in
place) - just like a Moleskine And here it is in use with the book I am
currently reading..."

I like it, I've been meaning to get that book as well.

Levenger.com sells a commercial version of these - book bungees I think they're called. Very handy.

It is such a practical bookmark - doesn't get shaken out when you slide the book out of a bag the wrong way - and it stops the pages getting dog-eared too!
