Sleepless in NY

"The Tired, Sleepless Huddled Masses"
I just returned from NY. Got stuck on a plane at LaGuardia runway for more than 4 hours, returned to the gate to refuel only to be told that the flight was canceled. Spent the night sleepless in a freezing lounge without even a blanket (ORD would at least lend you one and a cot). Thank God I'm home. Will be back to normal posting tomorrow. I just need some sleep. Thanks for your patience.

The correct answer is 17B. The closest guess is Jim's (17D). Congratulations! I'll email you for confirmation

I feel your pain. 18 months ago I got stuck at LaGuardia for 19 hours on my way to my sister's wedding.

Wow! That makes my little adventure a walk in Central Park!Anyway, it was all good. My meeting went well and I got to meet very interesting people. Exciting things happening in Moleskinerie in the coming months.;)

Similar thing happened to me traveling to NYC last month. Not fun at all.
Is your seat 9D?

And ouch! I hate it when that happens...(delayed flights, sleepovers, etc.). Glad it worked out well for you (and you spun some good from it).

Oh, I feel your pain Armand! I was stuck at Toronto Pearson Airport for a good 8 hours or so when we were hit with a HUGE snowstorm. Thankfully, I was wearing my winter jacket and used it like a blanket.

I just came back from Crete to Poland (spent on airport 3,5 hrs so I can only imagine how it is to wait so long...).
Greetings!

... and this is why flying sucks. It amazes me how the airlines and airports can charge so much and yet treat you worse for space and comfort than sheep! (Check out the EU regulations for moving sheep by air. You'll be jealous.) You have my commiserations.
BTW, was your seat 32D? Looks like the worst seat in the house.

I'll go w/ 6b. ;-)

I'll say 18D. Ouch! Thankfully I've had pretty good luck leaving the ground. Sometimes they stick me on a little puddle jumper though. I do not have supreme confidence in a prop plane that sounds like it is struggling when it hits a cloud.

29D!

LaGuardia-the airport to/from Hell. I travel enough to truly loathe it.
