Keane Fine: Using your Moleskine to apply for a job.

Keane Fine needs a job.

"I am applying for a summer internship and I realized the best way to describe myself is through showing the one thing I bring with me everywhere I go, my Moleskine. I am a graphic designer at a book publishing company and have been carrying a Moleskine in my front pocket for the past 4 years writing on it everywhere I go. I thought there is no better way to show the variety of things about me then by flipping through my notebook. I am applying for an internship to travel around the world with STA Travel and document what I see. I think viewers of the website will be able to appreciate this video and the chance to help out a fellow Moleskine user…"

    Super cool indeed! One day we’ll be able to embed video onto paper and this won’t be far fetch. When will the legendary notebook meets electronic paper display?

  2. tumblr fiend says:

    Wow, this is fabulous indeed! Very creative and thanks for sharing.

  3. This is such a cool idea! Would never have thought of using the moleskine as a job search tool. I will now!

    It’s one more thing to possibly geek out about with if the interviewer is also a creative person/moleskine user.

    Thanks for posting this!

    I liked the video in the video, embedded in the Moleskine. Did you use Adobe Premiere??

    Great project. Hope you find sometone who will appreciate your abilities.

    Motion tracking looked good; noticed wipes on the page turns.
    If you were applying for a video position, it would be worth doing this again so you tell a coherent story, move toward a climax in both visual and verbal content, and rotoscope your fingers.

    @Patrick Ng:

    Sony already makes a very expensive and tiny TV using their “digital paper” technology. It’s conceivable that one “sheet” of this paper could be enclosed within the covers of a Moleskine. How cool is that?

    Hey everybody, thanks for your support. If I could be so bold could you comment on the video on You Tube. I think that is the way they are judging these videos. Also it the video was editied using Adobe Premier.

    Thanks
