I tried this same thing a few weeks ago, but the end result isn't very pleasing. The Kindle is about 3/8" too wide and sticks out of the side. The thickness is perfect though. I'll bet one of the Fauxskine notebooks out there would work well. The Quo Vadis Habana would probably be just about the perfect size. Now to reverse engineer the Amazon's spine clip system!
