A tongue in cheek critique of the Moleskine phenomenon...

"So when you see a white person with one of these notebooks, you should always ask them about what sort of projects they are working on their free time.  But you should never ask to actually see the notebook lest you ask the question “how are you going to make a novel out of five phone numbers and a grocery list?”

A Moleskine Wedding guestbook

A friend sent us this link to a Moleskine notebook re-purposed as a wedding guest book. The bride "090909bride," wrote:

" It is not an Italian tradition to have a guest book at a wedding, but we really loved the idea of having written memories by all our loved ones who shared our special moment with us....So, since the main theme of our wedding was "Travel", we bought a Moleskine notebook of an avarage size."

A Single Moleskine Grievance

 Dolly at the "Journal Addict" has a problem:

"On watercolour moleskine, the ink is absorbed in the texture of the pages. On that one, it’s understandable and I am not very bothered.

On sketchbook, the pages are too smooth for the ink to stay properly.

On regular – both plain and ruled moleskine, pages are too thin, so while the fountain pens work, you can see the impression on the back of the page, which sucks because I write on both sides of a page."
