Name: Linda Willemszoon
1. What is your current Moleskine notebook?
Moleskine Cahier Journal – Plain, pocket edition, black
2. How do you use your notebook?
For my Train journey diary Today (2005 – 2011), during each train journey I made a diary drawing
with fineliner and markers on paper in a bound Moleskine Notebook. I started this diary when I
travelled by train from Zaandam to Utrecht for my study Illustration at the Utrecht School of the Arts.
Meanwhile I am working on part 7 and I have compiled over 200 illustrations. Today is a diary without
an key, as the work is for 85% autobiographical and for 15% fictional. In addition the people I meet also
play a role in Today.
3. What’s the next place you plan to take your notebook to?
My next trip by train is to Amsterdam to the International Institute of Social History for doing research
on handwritten love letters.
4. What do you want to tell the world?
By documenting my own personal story in the shape of a diary, I am trying to share my quest as an young
artist in life and work. Today can be followed online on my Flickr collection: www.flickr.com/photos/lindalovestoday
5. Where will you and your notebook be in 5 years?
Still travelling by train and drawing in Train journey diary Today!
